Accomplished power sector executive with over 32 years of progressive leadership in Nigeria’s electricity industry. Began career with NEPA as Senior Manager Treasury and rose to Assistant General Manager Finance before being appointed Managing Director/CEO of Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company in 2012. As CEO, successfully expanded power supply across Kaduna, Gusau, Sokoto, and Kebbi states from under 8 hours daily to 14–16 hours, while improving revenue performance beyond that of privatized counterparts. Under his stewardship, Kaduna Disco became the only distribution company to achieve the presidential mandate of uninterrupted electricity supply prior to privatization. Founder of Dell’Amore International Ltd, spearheading renewable energy initiatives including a 100MW solar project in Kaduna, and recognized internationally for attracting foreign investment into Nigeria’s power sector.

Nigeria is in dire need of sufficient electricity, and renewable energy sources might just be the option for the nation to achieve reliable power supply. The Federal Ministry of power is part of a group of investors looking to install abundant wind and solar resources in the country to generate clean and sustainable electricity.

Lagos state is benefitting from this initiative with a 30 Megawatts windmill and solar hybrid mini-grid to be constructed in Lekki, Lagos.
